In the skype software, itself, have you selected the headset as your input
and output devices? Sounds as if you might have the headset selected as your
windows default device, but not your skype device.

hello chris, i think the problem is that the settings in the skype software
needs changing. open sky-pe and go to tools then options arrow down to sound
devices and change the settings. your headset should appear inj the drop
down list. change it to the headset and then try a test call.

have the same Logitech headset I do, there is a round disc-shaped control
dangling from the plug-in chord? The button on this control is a toggle

There are many applications that will lower your volume from time to time for
no obvious reason. You will have to go to sounds and audio devices in your
control panel and reset your volume level and that should get rid of your hiss.

to be led by the hand and dissuaded from venturing out on your own and

that's a hardware synthesizer, and won't effect the sound card at all. I do
like the dec-talk access 32 software speech though, so it's what i use most
of the time when i'm online. but it's very easy for me to switch syn
