It's not an amplifier but a plug-in that is required for the playing of
GameDay Audio.
Despite some folks making a big deal about this plug-in, it has worked
seamlessly for me and most users.
There are apparently ways to work around it if one is having problems, but
give it a try first b

You mention the Cubs feed; here are a couple of things to keep in mind.
Some networks go silent between innings, for station breaks and the like.
The Cubs net is one of them.
Generally, with that net, you get the crowd microphone during those times

Firefox can store both userid and password if you login with that browser.
If you are using the password manager Roboform and log in via your default
browser (in my instance, ie6), it too can remember all signon info.

Last week i gave instructions for how to access GameDay audio, then I
figured something out. when you access the multimedia site, choose a
game and press enter. this opens up the media player, but you won't
have sound yet because you're not signed in. Here's the new part:

and it is in stereo in some cases. I know people are just glad gameday
audio is available, but it needs to sound better. Real networks and
microsoft have the technology to make it sound better, and those who

Got that same error with the komo mariner feed. The Angels ESPN feed
works fine. Also, if you switch your preferences to WMP, the KOMO feed
