Why not get a netbook? You could just plug a cable from that into your audio
center.
Netbooks cost anywhere from 300 to 400 dollars. I highly recommend the asus
lineup. I might add here that if you need to do simple line in recording,

Yeah, bear share works fine even with later versions. Mind you you need to
use the jaws cursor, but its ten times easier to use than kaza (which

I have an asus eee pc and like it more than the nc10. From what I've seen of
the nc10, that's just boasting. My 900 ha has maybe a 90 percent full
keyboard, probably less.
The soundcard on this thing rocks - for most things, anyway. It converts
files in gold wave with no lag at all. Its better
window eyes and jaws both have scripts for the latest if I'm not mistaken?

So, heres my problem. Using an asus eee pc 900 ha, I can't get recording volume
control to show up in sounds and audio devices. When I go to properties, I can
only select playback radio button, not recording. I can't click on recording
volume - well I can, but nothing displays. It does, how
i don't see why not. Just set windows to come out of your USB headset, then
tell window eyes to come out of your main soundcard. I don't know about
window eyes, but with jaws you edit a .ini file to tell it to use the main
soundcard.

You can buy a stario that will do it. But honestly, I'd use an AV cable,
because buying a stario that could play thumb drives is a waste of money-
your not getting very much money back- because the thumb drive costs a
fraction of the system.

time limmit, that I've seen. Its just you can only do a thousand commands

Best way I can think of is buy one of those cables that have two RCA jacks
on one end and 1 at the other. Plug the end with 1 jack into a laptop, with
a thumb drive in it, and plug the other two into a stario or tv equipt with
2 stario jacks.

Well, I think said equipment is a very expensive alternitive, so I'd
recommend doing what you plan on doing- putting the songs on your computer
in an mp3 format. I plan on doing that soon, and didn't know you could use
CD EX for that.

With this laptop, hardware accelleration has to be brought down to 60 or so.
