Hi
I've both ripped my CDs in Itunes and Windows Media Player and found that
Itunes tends to be much more accurate when labelling songs. I suppose it's down
to the online database used by each program I've tried updating the

off the laptop mic nor allow the external to work. Can you tell me the

Dennis was looking for another source of books than Audible. I gave
him, I think, audiobookstore.com
I meant to suggest:
http://www.audiobookstand.com
Books come in drm .wma, but there's lots of stuff on sale and there are
lots of authors who do not appear on Audible.

It's new since the last time I was there to get an update. It is set up like
any other purchase. When I bought the program, I was told that upgrades
would be free, and they still are unless you need a new key. If I had lost
the key, I would expect to pay for my negligence. But if his provided ke

this something new that he has asked people to do?

windows media player lets you rip music at some three hundred and something,
wonder if that's the same as on the actual cd.

Hi I guess the bit rate depends on a number of factors. As a bench mark,
The best quality for CDs and for those who will accept nothing else other
than the best quality is 320KBS. This bit rate will do you well regardless
of the type, or quality of the music or the quality of CD player used.

I think it's around $40. The site claims that upgrades are free, but if your
key doesn't work you apparently have to by a new key. It only costs 8
dollars and something, but one cannot define that as free. I wrote to the
developer using an old address that I had for him, but the email bounced.
Hi Trace. You can download as many music tracks as you wish but only one at
a time. Walter.

Hi Listers.
I just joined this list so I missed the thread on this subject.
I am told that usb soundcards were being discussed on this list a while ago.
I need a USB soundcard with mic line in and at least 2.1 audio out but would
prefer 5.1 suround sound but not necessary.
I need to be able to
I'd make a copy of the file and begin adding dot mp3 wma and other likely
extensions until you find the right one. That is if opening the file is
worth it to you.

Hi! You might want to check on either the blind geek zone or blind cool
tech web sites. Rick Harmon did an awesome set of tutorials for goldwave,
so probably anything you could possibly want to know would be covered in
one of the 8 sections of the tutorial.
Good luck!

hopefully, make my own recordings of songs and put them on cd.
Unfortunately, I'm having trouble

Hi, Depending on the size of the file such as 3 to 5 mbs.
Have you tried renaming the file with a mp3 extention.
It's a long shot but it might work.
Try different options such as wav or mp3.
It will give you a warning that renaming file extentions is posibly
detromental but just answer okay and ho
