Hey this is great, thanks. I am also about to buy one. Is the manual in text
format somewhere?
Also I hope the company is getting some feedback from us blind users so that
future models will be equally blind friendly.

May I ask where you guys are purchasing, and what seems to be the cheapest
price for them?
Currently, I'm looking at no less than $400. Is that correct?

Hello, All,
I have just purchased the Edirol R9 and am looking forward to recording
expected special highlights of our visit to family and friends on the East

Gary, since you mentioned this in your post I wonder if you or someone could

The following may be considered off-topic because it relates to a
non-PC-controlled or -based audio recording and playback system.
However, it's short, and hopefully of more use than annoyance.

Hi Steve.
Thanks for the response. I neglected to mention in my original message that
Sonar was definitely my choice along with Jsonar for the scripts, but the

The Jsonar scripts are free, so I'll probably just use those

Hi Norma, actually there are some great keyboard shortcuts in Media Center.
Windows+ALT+Enter will take you into the main Media Center menu. Control+T

Yes, there is. The link is on 2 lines in the note. You have to join them

I would say that anything you have should contain 512 mb of memory, and a
sound blaster card, which ever one you prefer. You will also want plenty of
hard drive space for file storage. and as fast a processor as you can get

Thanks.

Do 32-bit cards even exist yet? I've not heard of any, but yet many
recording programs support recording for what would be that format if it
comes out.

Yes, it is a very nice recorder. The internal mics sound good, but if you

Jim,
The R09 is definitely very useable. It has menus, but the menus do not
wrap, and there aren't that many of them. There are also some dedicated
switches on the back of the unit that do not require menus. In addition,
