you guys so neatly split the configuration between the top-level, the
architecture, and the boards. It's an ARM-based board and we plan on
using device tree. With all the interaction between kernel

Otherwise the modpost steps for individual modules that are compiled
manually (using make package//install) will give warning
of missing symbols when that module depends other modules.
This is caused by the Module.symvers file not containing any symbols
anymore of external modules when the initram
Add a -c switch which allows setting an alternative UCI path instead of using

Build all of the can support as modules, otherwise the kernel image is
changed when a can kernel package is selected, because the can protocol
is then built in into the kernel image.
