Check the headers for In-Reply-To and References. Your company's Email Software
seems to be insufficient.
However mutt might use a setting to group by subject.

I agree - but I hoped it could have been done with some fine tuning of
an existing script.

Hi all,
do you know about any mutt script that would go from message to message and
1) remove a html part if a plain text part is given
2) remove all trailing lines,
starting with a quote sign ">"
and at least e.g. 10 occurences
such as (^>[.*][\r\n]){9,} before the end of the message

Absolutely yes!
Anything else will destroy proper threading.

I fully agree. Using fullquotes it does not matter very much whether you
do it at top or bottom. Both is stupid for replies and even worse on
mailing lists where everyone should know ab

Could you send me a screenshot please? I also do use k9, but I only do see a
grouping by subject. It lacks a hierarchical tree

Hi all,
what's your recommendation in order to have a neat, readable printout of a
thread?
It should
- not contain irrelevant header lines
... can be done easily
- not contain full quotes
... oops, this may be too much for mutt, to kill all those
Outlook full quotes
- not conta

Hi all,
is there any chance to edit the headers of received mails semi-automatically?
My wish is a macro to fix threading from other users with poor email
software. A macro shall be called with the list number of the proper
referred email. This will copy the message id from there and insert it
