At the moment that is what it looks like.I might be wrong but
so far it appears that PALDV needs more support than previously

Hacking acceptance of other formats into yuvscaler would be a

I'd remove it except that it's useful as an indication of an
unconverted program.

Yes, I get them all the time :)
bash-2.05b$ smil2yuv test.dv | yuvscaler -I USE_576x512+0+0 -O D

No, it works fine with the (NTSC) DV files I tried it with:
[LARRY:S300/DVD] sms% smil2yuv aq.dv | head -n 1
YUV4

Hello,
When I do:
smil2yuv test.dv | yuvscaler -I USE_576x512+0+0 -O DVD | yuvplay
I get a very weird image with noise and a mixed up interlacing pattern.
And when I do:

yuvplay fails to play the resulting stream.
Is this a
It works fine with yuvscaler and the requested size ...

Good Idea! ;)

I couldn't upgrade mjpeg-tools... I installed the latest version of
transcode (from cvs) and it doesn't support the new yuv4mpeg-header(got
compilation errors from transcode on the yuv4mpeg-export

bicubic is quite good.

How large is the input.avi file? What resolution, etc is the input
file? If it's 32

Hi everyone and happy new year !
I have written an MMX routine for the BICUBIC up and down-scaling routine.
As this is my first MMX version, I have concentrated on width and this allows
yuvscaler to run between 1.5 and 2 times faster when width is scaled (-M
BICUBIC -O SVCD for example).

No, it doesn't deinterlace material before rescaling.

Hi,
Could anyone tell me how yuvscaler handles interlaced material ? Does it
deinterlace it before applying the scaling ? If so, is there a way to turn
that off for progressive input ? And if not, doesn't it have an impact on
quality ?

Hi
I have a clip here but I want to select only a part of it to blow it up to
full size PAL. Resolution is a second issue.
The option -I USE_WidthxHeight+WidthOffset+HeightOffset should do the trick
followed by SIZE_WidthxHeight and the adequate -M something.
Question is : what is WidthOffset
