It would indeed be good to keep track of such info
Hi there. I'd first like to say the tools are wonderful, and I have used
them many times for conversion and other stuff like that. Whilst doing
this, I found glav to be an admirable cutter and resequencer for video.
Being a veteran of Final Cut Pro, I was surprised to find glav had a

Unfortunately I myself could never get my Buz working in my Athlon
system with VIA chipset like many others. It's now in an Intel 440BX
system and my initial short tests are that it is working well except it
can't seem to get more than 19 buffers on my system (still working on
that) and I haven

OK, I had read that. Two more questions:
1) From the nature of the error messages, ie. "i2c-algo-bit.o: Buz[0]
SCL unexpected low while pulling SDA low!" What does this mean? Is it
likely a problem with VIA vs a problem with the Buz card itself?
2) If VIA is bad
Ok, so I have built my 440BX-based box, built my driver (from CVS as of
Saturday), build mjpeg tools from the 1.6.1 tar.gz and run lavrec. It
turns out I am a victim of the "Natoma/ZR36057 rev 1" bug. My kernel log
shows:
MJPEG: using 2 V4L buffers of size 128 KB
MJPEG: Host bridge: 440BX - 824
Hi!
I had a working installation of avifile-0.7-0.7.22 and mjpegtools-1.6.1
until yesterday, when I tried to make those Win32 codecs work which were
reported to be supported but not found when I tried to use them. So I
installed the latest release of avifile and then things had messed up. I
tried
Hi all,
I saw that this bug is known (bug tracker). Are there any workarounds?
Thanks for your help

Title: Inserted frames are corrupted
I noticed that when frames are inserted they are always corrupted, is there any way to fix that? And what would cause those curruptions? I'm using G400, 512Mb ram, 1.4G CPU, HPT370 RAID0, SA6R. I ran several tests and was able to record about 8 hours of vid

Try lowering quality or buffersize. See the FAQ for more info. ;). What
kind of mainboard/etc. do you have?

Hi,
It's now time for me to use mpeg2enc in closed GOP mode, but i'm a little
bit loss with all the tarballs version or CVS versions. Is there a stable
version that include the closed GOP flag?
And, by the way, what is that flag (-closed ??), I was unable to find any
info on it.
Thanks,

OK, OK. I have been in an angry mood while writing theese lines. And also
in hurry while doing the tests. My fault.
