Go with the Jambox Mini from Jawbone. I have all 3 sizes of these and they
each sound great and fill a room surprisingly well with sound.
For the poster concerned with how base heavy they are try turning on live audio.

Eileen, great questions let me try to help clear things up a little.
Apple TV really isn’t a set top box replacement like your FIOS box. Apple TV
is a box that grabs content from any number of sources (all of which re on the
Internet) and puts them together in a package that’s easy to access.
This is correct.
These boxes have different functions.

This is not how I would do it.
Since you use optical (I do as well) I would take the signal from the Apple TV
to your TV set over HDMI which gives you the highest digital fidelity possible
then take the optical out on the back of your TV and route that to your
receiver. Then anything heard on
Seven.1 is pretty good. You can actually get 9.1 or even more if you go with
some of the more high end gear. I have a Denon receiver that decodes surround
nicely and it’s a lot of fun to listen to.

Lots of cool new upgrades like the new radio chip which will make the

Looks like Cellebrite is to blame.

I think it depends on the size of your hands. I’m a big guy so I like the 6s+
because it has lots of surface area. Also it has a bit better optical

bluetooth range means I can leave my phone any where in
server.
