If you have not already resolved the problem, let me suggest that you see if
you have cursor tracking on. The keyboard command for toggling cursor
tracking on and off is VO-Shift F3. I hope this helps.

I have not done this myself in all the years I have had a Mac except back in
the 90's with Disk First Aid. I did open disk Utility and went to Disk
Utility Help. Under Disk Repair it tells how to repair the disk. If it is
the disk that is also being used as the start up disk,
VoiceOver has it's limitation. It can only read certain file types, i.e.
.txt, .rtf, .pdf and .doc. I have things in . pub format which I also would
like to read, but cannot. The only suggestion I have is to try to save it in
one of these formats and maybe it will be able to be read by Voic
It sounds like you have cursor tracking turned off. VO-shift F3 toggles
cursor tracking on and off.
there are two separate cursors in Voice Over, the VoiceOver cursor and the
keyboard cursor. Where the VoiceOver cursor is is what is read. The
keyboard cursor must be on whatever object
In SL the VoiceOver command is VO-Shift-\ or as it is sometimes stated
VO-Shift-|.
this should take care of it.

While there is no keyboard shortcut for DOM to GROUP mode in in the HH menu
voice over commands menu, simply hit the carriage return key and it will carry

I have an IMac and as far as I know all of my keyboard commands work . CMD-,
does open the preference pane, CMD-O does bring up the OPEN dialogue box. I
don't know why your IMac isbehaving this way. I can only think that it has
something to do with keyboard preference
