Hi,
No, VoiceOver does not support flash. Adobe apparently refuses to
support VoiceOver, but a petition has been signed.

Yes, same here. He knew a little about VoiceOver, but they didn't

Insert the DVD into your drive.
When starting up your Mac, when you hear the usual startup tone you

Command-colon shows you the suggestions and grammar dialog. That's the

Hi,
In fact, that is set automatically when you run VoiceOver for the
first time on Snowy as default I believe. You can, however, change it
so that it reads them 0.5 seconds after speaking the item you're
focused on in the VoiceOver Utility>Verbosity>Hints tab.

Hi,
I never got it to work for me, it literally only read contents of
VoiceOver cursor, so I dismissed the feature entirely.

Hi,
Well, I have no clue why you can't access the menus with either CTRL-
F2 or VO-M. Both work for me when I'm either in the machine library or
running a virtual machine.

Hi,
Hmm, that's definitely interesting. Only thing that happens on my end
is VoiceOver says "Trackpad Commander On", and everything is good. The
only thing I could think of is the might accidentally do a three-
finger double tap, but that's extremely unlikely by accident.
There's gotta be a r
Hi,
It would be nice to one day see the status of your contacts, so you're
not calling them if they're Do not disturb. Granted, they won't hear
you, but you'll still be calling them when you think they might be
online. Again, it's probably common sense to try calling a couple of
times, th
Hi,
That surprised me a little bit as well. I would have thought it'd be
of a better quality, but since I'm never going to use it for anything
else but reading coupon barcodes if I get an iPhone, I'm not too
concerned myself. But if I was to use it extensively, then I would be
a bit worri
Hi,
It's possible you might have heard someone say just that. Some people
are picky about it. :P
In all seriousness, sarcasm aside, I don't see why the camera couldn't
be eight megapixels. As a blind user it's probably not necessary, mind
you, since a two megapixels camera is probably fin
Hello John,
I cannot answer the questions you have regarding EchoMac, but I can
try to answer the question concerning scripting abilities.
One thing that is very different from Windows to the Mac, is the
Windows applications are usually heavily dependent on individual
scripting for the scre
Hi May,
In case you haven't installed yet, I would recommend personally not to
upgrade it. It's the easiest way if you do prefer to keep all your
settings and so-forth, but if you reformat by using Disk Utility from
the Snow Leopard DVD, you can at least be sure you won't get any

Hi May,
You don't need to add the FN-key when using a Macbook type. Here's how
to change that so you don't.
1) Go into System Preferences
2) Go into Keyboard
3) Find the tab called "Keyboard" and select it.
4) Find the checkbox named something similar to "Use all F1, F2 etc.

Hi,
Well, I believe EchoLink does exist on the Mac-side as EchoMac, last I
heard and extremely accessible.
As for using Windows, it's all probably about taking the plunge to a
new operating system and letting go of Windows. I've pretty much
completed that step, but there is only one minor

Yes, broadcasts can certainly be done. Nicecast from Rogue Amoeba

ridiculously well, in fact, and I have nothing to compl
