can’t hear
what I typed, but if I hit VO l, it will read back to me just fine.
I found a text reader extensions, but the real problem is that the two apps
just won’t run on Maverick, and i see that others are having that problem.
So, for us on the Mac it is Text Edit, or Pages...

Hello,
I do not have either one. But from what I heard that Abbyy Fine reader Pro is
out, and it is much much more accessible, and you don’t need a third party app
on top of that. I heard that Express is not that accessible now.

Hello all,
Not choppy for me. But I do know when I look into a long thread in mail, it
would skip mail. Say for example like this thread, I’d would scroll down and
see one mail, then we I go back one it will name several that I skipped. It can
get frustrating.

Have you tried to hit cmd and F5? Sometimes Voiceover crashes or just don’t
work. Just press cmd F5 once. Wait a min and redo the command and wait a few
min.

liable. Also I’d suggest have a splitter and have a earbud or headphone on
standby for those occasions that the tv is not working.
The bluetooth speaker should work just fine, but I’d would not suggest it to
troubleshoot if the tv is not putting out sound.

Bingo! It worked! I went thru the Preference Pane and it asked me if I want no
sleep to work on ac power or battery power. So I checked the ac power only.

best but here is what I do.
I interact with the text feild, then I do rotor to Lines, or Link, and then
scroll down untill I see the link. Then hit VO space.
I’m sure there is a better method but I have not figured that.

I believe VO W is to change the phonanics of a word. It can say a letter and
that’s it, or it can say a letter. Like if you come across w, it can just say
w, or if can say wisky.

I would like to add, if you want to adjust VO on the fly, and not the master
volume, just hold ctrl, options, and cmd, then use the left or right arrows
untill it say volume, then adjust by going up or down.

As David said cmd [. That can be found under the delete key. If you start from
the right under the delete key and go left by three keys, that is [. If you hit
cmd ] that will go forward. this key combination can be used under finder too.

I would like to add. On top of this. If you are looking at other Options other
than Duxbury, you can use Libre and install the OBT2 extention and that can
translate. I have seen that on a Windows side, but I have not seen it on the
Mac side since I don’t have an embosser.
