Hello Denise, It all depends how you are reading the document before you pause to start again. If you’ve been using the arrow keys without VO, you may have to bring the VO cursor to the keyboard focus with VO-Shift-F4. Of course, you always have to interact with the text for VO commands to work

Yeah, sometimes it happens that, if you are not careful, you can move the caret without also moving the VO cursor. Interact with the text and make sure you can read using VO-up/VO-down before you take your hands off the VO keys. In this way, you ensure that the VO cursor moves with your caret.
