I have an Airport Extreme and would not do without it. Although I’m with BT plus net, I told them that I’d not want their router as I would want to have a router of my own because you get software on the router that is not always accessible or reliable. I did have a branded router once from a network provider and the internet was horrible, the signal would drop and I’d get no internet for days as the router would not connect. So after that experience, I’ve been with the Apple products and I’d not do without them. I can listen to any radio station on my I phone or Mac and get no buffering. With other routers it was buffering all the time and so one could not enjoy the music or whatever else one chose to listen to.
Just my opinion.
