I also am having trouble with this. Not only that, I can't seem to add an event
that is ongoing and have alerts for it. When I try to add an event either with
the button in the toolbar or cmd-n all I get is "quick event" which I don't
think is what I want.

I don't know about a list, but adding an event is acting normally. That "quick
event" screen lets you type in all the details you can, like "doctor
appointment tomorrow at 1 pm". It then takes that and parses it into the event
title, date, and time. In other words, type in your event, hit enter,
Hi there.

Thanks, Shawn. I agree with your approach. In fact I've set my several

However, I'm disinclined to change the password to a null string, if the

Unlike Sonos, they're pushing an open protocol which means that any of our

Hello, and thanks for your response to my question about Doodle.
Do you remember if you used the mobile version with Safari, or did you use the

I was just trying to download the podcast application for the Mac from

Hi,
The subject says it all: I can’t seem to tell whether “do not disturb” on my

silly. Years of using a mac computer, and I’m still uns
I had a similar problem with another app and despite multiple
re-downloads I also could not shake off this error message. It appears
that Yosemite does not like some dmg downloads.
If it helps I think I have the QCast dmg somewhere which I could upload

No problem, we're all learning new things all the time.
In Yosemite, open Notification Center, choose the Today view, and interact with

Yes, I would agree that this is very disappointing. This is a brand new
Mac, and as someone who enjoyed using both QCast and QFeed on my PC, I was
looking forward to doing the same on my Mac. We were even lucky that he offered
Mac versions for those two apps as Hope and QRead and Chicken

Hi,
Allowing apps from anywhere to be installed should fix this.

I actually recommend downcast over qCast.

Hi everyone. Since upgrading to Yosemite I’ve had a horrible VoiceOver lag. I
know I run it on a 2010 iMac, four years old, but it ran just fine with
Mavericks. Now sometimes it gets to the point where I can hardly use my
computer. It lags and sputters and stops. If I would have known I would ha
Hi,
This is not normal behaviour. A 2010 iMac should handle Yosemite just fine.
Have you checked in the Activity Monitor to see if anything is using up
resources? It sounds to me like some sort of third party app or resource in
conflict with VO. Either try a clean install with migration or
Thanks, Alex and others. So once i’ve interacted with the do not disturb
widget in the notification area, I saw a checkbox that reads, “hide banners and
alerts”. It was not checked. I checked it and it now appears in the menu
extras.
Thanks again.

Hi Austin. Adding to Tim's comments, how much ram do you have in that iMac? I
have a mid 2010 MacBook and experience no lag. If you want to talk more about
this off list, you can. I'm not on the developer program, but I still get the
betas with the public seed program.

Yes, it hardly seems that plain text is a viable solution at this point in time.

Hi Janina,
The auto-login feature is still available in Yosemite. I confirmed this on two

feature is not available when encryption is enabled. This would be logical, as
