Hi.
A short question... Does anyone of you use the JawBone Up with VoiceOver?
If so, does it work?
If no, is there any good alternatives?
Best regards David

Hi,
Has anybody noticed that Youtube is crashing Macs? Everytime I go in to
Youtube this morning, no matter what I search for, my Mac freezes and I have to
do a hard reset. I most recently found that if I spent only a minute in
Youtube just browsing, I freeze up totally and canot do anything.
Hello,
I have been able to duplicate the issue of not being able to flick left or
right to different elements on the menu screen. I am pretty certain this is
caused when you go into view options in the menu, and lower brightness. Even
lowering brightness to 90% in the app will cause this. I
I had a look at it a couple of days ago in fact. The web interface is a bit
confusing, and I wasn't able to change anything in the advanced settings
dialogue. I was able to change the audio app after some fooling around, but am
not entirely sure what single thing I did to arrange it.

Fascinating! Thanks for confirming the existence of the problem, if in fact
that's what we choose to call it. Like you, I plan to keep my paid

The reason the papers are so different is probably because NFB only gets the

Ricardo, I think you have indeed found the problem. Can't lower brightness. I
had done that on my iPad right before having the problem of not being able to
flick to items on the menu. And I have not done it on the 4S, where the same
book's menu does not exhibit this problem. So, now I wonder whe

Okay,
For me, the Youtube issues have returned. I cannot go there for more then a

Hi all,
Anyone know how to do this? I'm looking at Big Bang theory Season 6. I see
the text that says Season Pass, but I don't see any info on how much it costs
or how to buy one.

Hi Donna,
On my iPad, the price is announced as $44.95 I typed in "The Big Bang
Theory" into the search box, then double tapped the entry for season

individual episode prices. I don't have my Mac handy, so I can't

Yes this fixed it. That will teach me not to turn my brightness down. Thanks

Hello All.
I have set up Dictation using the I Mac and have not used it until now. I
could not believe how accurate it was even though I'm using Alex. The funny
thing is if I chose the American Voice on my I phone 5 it always gets things
wrong because of my British accent. I wonder then if I
Hi Esther,
I see that same price. I could be wrong, but I think that that is to actually
purchase that season. I was trying to do this on my Mac, and when I searched

In case anyone else is curious …
I just googled Season pass. Apparently what it does is that it downloads
episodes automatically as they're released. and you do get a discount, but
nothing to get excited about. The individual episodes are about $3, which
would be somewhere between $60 and $7
that makes sense. If you have the American voice selected, and you have a
British accent, it's thinking you're speaking American English. If you have
your dictation said to English UK, then it knows that you're speaking in a
British accent.

I'm actually quite surprised that being from Canada, Siri and Mac dictate both

Hi Donna,
The season pass is actually for buying (not renting) episodes at a
discounted rate, and is only in effect while the season's episodes are
still being broadcast. So the individual episodes are $2.99 each, and
with an expected season's worth of 24 episodes, that's about $45 vs.
$72, plus
Hi Esther,
Looks like we discovered the same thing. I googled season pass right after
posting my last message. I guess it's cool to be able to buy episodes before
they're released, but still, that's quite a price tag. :)

No problem. I guess we will need to turn down system brightness in settings.
This is much easier on an iPad since brightness can be controlled from the app
switcher though.

Well, I'd like to know what you found out: if you don't mind. I did notice

Why don't you just turn the screen curtain on instead of lowering brightness?
Or do you still need the screen to look at?

Hi Stacy,
Basically, it means that you buy the whole season, and you get to download the
episodes as they're released. So, if next September I buy a season pass for
