Hi there,
To be 100% honest, I'd get a free text editor called Bean. It's not available
from the app store, however, but you can download it from the following link:
http://www.bean-osx.com/Bean.html
It's completely accessible with VoiceOver, and is vastly superior to Pages in
my opinion, since
For double spacing, and most other kinds of styling, you'll want to use the
inspector, by pressing command-option-i. There's a group of radio buttons, and
I think you'll want to press “text.” Then under the text tab, you'll see an
option that says lines, with the number 1. Change that to 2, and
Hi.
You need to have an audio file playing while switching to an other audio
output. Otherwise the sup menu is dimmed. Let me know if you still have trouble
on doing this. I'm switching between my Apple tv using Airplay and my jack
output on my Macbook all the time.

Doesn't Beam crash a lot though? That's what I heard: however, since you use
it, I reckon you are in a better position to know.
PS. Hey, does Bean give you a word count also?

Hi,
No, I've never had Bean crash at all. As far as a word count, I haven't found
how to do that yet. If pages gives you all of that info, plus more, I may start
using that as my word processor of choice, instead of Bean. I just used a free
alternative since I didm know much about Pages. Lol.
Hi,
That works fine. I now just need an external keyboard for the MacBook, so I can
start broadcasting again.
I figured how to work nicecast, so that issue is also now resolved.
Thanks for your help.

I don't mind the page turning sound either. It kind of let's me know we're on
a new page. Kind of reminds me of those read along books I used to listen to
when i was a kid. Couldn't see the print but the chime let me know when to
turn the page lol

Hi
Another way of trying to find text is to do command i. I use this with a
particular software update message from a non-Apple source which pretends it
has no text in it.
It might also be that you are not in the right window, so try window chooser

I don't mind the page turn noise but do set the smallest font size to maximise

One thing I have been trying to figure out is if the Kindle pages are any

I do that as well, Danny. Makes reading really nice, especially on an iPad.

Hi guys
My question about VueScan is this. I did several scans, and I was asked if I
wanted to rewrite the file I had told the program to use. I said yes thinking
it would delete the old material and replace it with the new stuff. Not so. I
just discovered that I had new stuff added to the old.
Hello,
I wanted to let you guys know about Tap Forms by Tap Zapp Software, Inc. It is
database software which runs on OSX and IOS, but each must be purchased
separately to allow cloud syncing. The OSX version costs $24.99 USD. It is
completely accessible from what I can tell, and it allows s
Hi,
Why? I can't see why that would matter much. But, I would assume the kindle
pages probably hold more text since there are no controls or elements visible
on the screen unlike iBooks. But, I'm no where near certain of this. Its just
a guess.

Hi there.
The file scan 001.txt is automatically created by the program if you tell it
not to attend text. So, you can go ahead and delete that file; VUE scan will
recreated for the next OCR batch.
However, should you ever wish to attend new text to the old text in the file,

Is anybody else with an iPhone 5 not able to flick left and right in the reader

Hi Lisette,
I wonder if this not being able to flick thing is something random. I have
encountered this problem with a book on my iPad. That same book, on my 4S, does
not exhibit the problem. Also, on the iPad, when I do a continuous read in that
book and the page changes, instead of continuing
Hi Mary,I've tried it with two titles and so far they both exhibit this

Hello Mary,
on my iPad mini, sometimes reading will just stop at the end of a page for no
reason I can figure. on average, I would say this might happen every 30 pages
or so? The menu doesn't pop up though, I'm just sitting there on the page.
When this occurs, I do a 3 finger swipe from rig
Hi Lisette and Mary,
On the iPad, it may be the issue that the first generation model Mary
is using just doesn't have as much active memory to use for continuous
reading. I don't think that's an issue with the later model iPads. I
agree with Anne's assessment that some eBook versions simply don'
