to do this, you will need to do this, 1. ofcourse backup your data! 2. restart your mac mini, and when the sound plays, hold down command r, i recommend holding that down for about 10 seconds this will start recovery mode, what it will do here is download the recovery image from apple's servers,

Hi, I think you have it backwards. That setting is to share the optical drive of your Mac with another computer. I guess since your mini has no optical drive, this option isn't available. You will have to try to set it up with the computer that has the optical drive. Ricardo Walker rwalker..
