There is also a view messages by menu right next to the message list. So if
you open this menu, you can check the categories that you want voice over to

I don't know, but I doubt it's that large. All my messages are on an IMAP
server, and I don't know if Mail downloads each one individually. I have
around 500 in my Inbox at present.

Another thing that has gone away is, instead of having to interact with the
mailbox and message column, all I had to do is press tab to get to the message
list from the mailbox list, it doesn't seem to let you do that anymore either.

This whole conversation business in mail doesn't seem to make sense anymore.
It used to be that when I hit enter on a conversation all the messages would
open up and I could just delete them one by one and here the next message. Now
when I hit enter it just seems to read the last one. I know
I didn't have to do this, it's right next to the favorites bar, your mail box
list that is.

By default, conversations are sorted in reverse chronological order, newest
message first. You can change this in the View menu I believe. I use left and
right arrow to open and close conversations.

I'd like to be able to read about VO and Lion before trying the download. I
haven't seen anything on the Apple site. Am I missing it? Or is it not there
yet? With all the new touch-based interactions, new finder etc, I think there
must be some new ways of interacting between vo and the os, no?

The Quick Start Guide for VO doesn't seem to be up yet. When I pressed VO-H,
and then went to Open Quick start Guide, I got a 404 page not found error.
I'd give it a few days for them to point the link in VO to the correct page
with the guide.

Yea I see that now. It just seems weird that you have to deal with each
message individually and there is no way to see all messages at once easily.

to select all messages in a particular conversation. There are others in the

In all the Lion excitement, people may have missed the updates to ITunes and
IWork that came out today. Both applications can now be run full screen if you
have Lion. No clue what bugs might have been fixed.

popup button for the voices. Finally, press that button to open the popup and
select the customize option.

I know Melissa always tells me to employ the VO-lock. Then I forget it's on
and get myself all messed up because nothing works normally until it's unlocked

Well, I got there by going to System Preferences and then to the Speech
settings. When I got the list of voice choices I chose a voice that had not
been available in Snow Leopard to be my System voice. Once I took an OK on
the change I was prompted whether I wanted to download that voice. I
