I can split and join regions with cycle mode off or on. Not sure why this
would make a difference. I have noticed sometimes it doesn't work. I usually
press command S to save, press command T again, and it works. Go figure. :)

You just press the letter C to toggle it on/off. To check if its on or off,
open the item chooser and start typing in the word cycle. The chooser will
display the cycle button a long with its status.

First, The information your looking for is found in the LCD section. Opening
the item chooser with VO I, typing in lcd, then pressing return will take you

It should work whether or not you interact with your mail messages.
I have found that whenever I can't get VO to do what it should do, I turn it
off with Command F5 and then back on again. That somtimes fixes the problem.

Yes. It works very well here. My only suggestion would be to close down the
app, reboot, and try it again and you should see something that says scroll
area which you'd interact on. Hopefully a fresh start will work. It's
certainly fantastic when it works.

In your universal preferences on your mac, make sure in the universal
preferences box in the universal devices all devices with assistive technology
box is checked? It's not called that but you will know.
Also, make sure that your mac is not accessing the Ipod as a disk or when you
plug it in

If you remember I had the same problem in that Voice Over wouldn't start when I
plugged my Ipod 6 gen in so I had to play with it and accidentally found this
out. Hope all those who get an Ipod or I pad they can start Voice Over. It
makes no sense that there isn't a configure button as in Itune
When in Itunes, press VO M and voice over right to advanced, down arrow with
voice over until you hear subscribe to podcasts. press enter and make sure
that you put in the right details for the podcast feed and press enter. The
Mac will tell you if you have subscribed successfully or not.
