Hi Mary,
VO Command P generally works for this purpose.

No, would that help?
I have turned off the Mac and then turned it on again but to no avail. Will try
what you suggest.

Hi Matt,
I was really looking forward to auto web spots as a sort of quick and dirty way

Hi Mary,
I saw it in the manual. Although the keyboard help feature is nice, not all
the keys appear to be listed. Do you read braille? If so, you can get a VO

likely saw this, but VO Comand_N may actually work bett
Thanks, Nick. Find menu. I had seen all those commands, but just filed them
away in some mental compartment that relates to finding text in word
processing, not on the web. I'll definitely try this option and hope it does
the trick.

When I bought my Mac mini recently, I purchased a bluetooth keyboard with it,

Hi Les,
Yes, I do read braille, and I saw that about the braille manual from the
Lighthouse. It looked like that was referring to the Leopard manual, but
perhaps I misunderstood.

Hi Mary,
Actually, it's Using VO with either Leopard or SnowLeopard. I much prefer
braille and refer to it often now that I have it.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I know about wireless headphones. I worked using headphones for 8 hours a
day for 30 years, so I try to avoid them when possible. It could be a
cheap way to find out just how far the keyboard will work reliably, though. 30
feet might do what I want.

For about $300 you could go with this which starts with a 1km antenna
but you can get optional antennas for up to 30km range.

Well you certainly could use a bluetooth headset, which would work reasonably
well if your not to far from the source. You also could for about $100 purchase
an AirPort Express and purchase a program such as Airfoil from Rogue Omeeba and
stream audio to a stereo etc. wirelessly. Now it has been
This is correct. You can break into any mac and resent passwords simply
by booting off the installer DVD. That said, I'm not as clear on what
happens when you either have FileVault or an encrypted disk image in
use. In the end there is always a security - usability tradeoff.

Hi Mary, well it looks like peeps have already suggested the bluetooth

You can find very low-cost transmitters that should have no trouble

You can use automator to create a service or right click shortcut with a

THere's no need of applescript for this, although you can do it.

I use the item chooser a whole lot. I also use vo/left and right arrows and

I have an example for this, though it is for moving files to folders, but when
you get into automator you can change the paremeters to make it a mail

If i have the time i will translate it, but i'll paste the french version here:
