You know, pretty much, yeah. I can't say I've never hit a glitch, but I've
often just activated and upgraded new phones by myself at home, and for the
most part, it's gone pretty smoothly.

Wow! I'm glad I'm not the only one who had a rough go, but very sorry you had
to go through that. I can well imagine how frustrating it must have been. And
so far no need to feel stupid. I'd never seen a screen like the one I saw this
morning, and I've been upgrading iPhones since the 3GS.
Hi Robin,
I wasn't aware he'd done such a podcast, or I would have listened to it. His
podcasts are very good. As for how predictive my experience is, I can't say.
But even if my experience is not typical, I would recommend that blind users

I've actually had some time to play with it, and I am liking it. It is
noticeably snappier. Given my druthers I'd still take a home button, but I'm
getting used to the gesture. Still in the evaluation phase, but I think I will
come out of it glad I upgraded..
Cheers,

Well my set up experience of the 10 was probably more worse than yours Dona.
Lets say I messed up my passcode, although getting beyond the first step was
very hard. Then the verification wouldn't work so I had to call the
Accessibility line, they had to send me a file to get the I phone erased

Sorry you had so much trouble setting up your new toy. Hopefully using

Hi Klip,
I, too, let my old iPhone set up my new one. I don't know why our experiences
were so different, but they definitely were. :)

I didn’t experience this, one thing I do remember is it kept saying hello, and
the only other option was to make an emergency call, but that all went away
