Activity Monitor is a great app built into all Macs. Open it up, go to the
toolbar and then into the view group, and choose the memory button. Get out of
the toolbar and you can see not only a table of all your apps and how much

Can the Auto Save be turned off? I tried doing a normal save but it
seems that Auto Save still wants to get involved. I also will be in the
habit of saving copies of edited scripts to a thumb drive.

save. Actually, that's much of the reason I haven't worked on the scripts in a
while; I once lost a *lot* of changes that I had to rewrite. Try save anyway,

When I edit scripts, I get an error regarding auto save and the

It's actually the widget manager within the dashboard. You get to the dashboard
by pressing f12. It has little applications, or widgets, like world clock and
calculater. You can close them with command-VO-escape, and you can delete them
from within finder if you go into /library/widge

What dashboard manager are you talking about? I've never seen anything like
that. I just had a sighted friend look on his mac at dashboard using 10.9 and
he said the only thing on the screen were the widgets and a plus or minus to
add or delete them. Just curious.

In Mountain Lion the Widgets Manager didn't work with VO. You could add widgets
but couldn't delete them or edit the order. Good luck playing with it, and
hopefully you won't end up banging your head up against the wall like I did.
