Hi,
Maybe I'm confused by the wording of the question, but Safari does not need to
be open, nor do you need to configure any settings while in the Safari app.
Everything is set while in the Activities pane of VO Utility. Set the
parameters you want all from the available items in the Activity
I tried this once, and couldn't get it to work.
So should you turn on quick nav while in Safari, when setting up the VO
activity?

Okay, my verbosity was already set to medium. There was no disclosure triangle

Hello Dave,
The disclosure triangle is immediately to the right of hotspots. If the label
is there, just press VO-Space on it.
Barry is right to recommend medium verbosity. You should only use low verbosity
in applications you know inside out. As someone who’s been using a Mac for over

What is your default speech verbosity set at? I suspect that it is low. If

Tim,
I had Safari open, and launched the VO Settings. Under Activities, I added a
new activity. However I didn’t find any reference to Quick Nav or Single-Letter
in either the Navigation, General, nor Rotor areas. Any ideas where to look?

to have QuickNav on and such, but it not everywhere else, or at least in most
places. To accomplish this, go into VO Utility, to the Activity category,
cmd-0 I believe. Set up a new activity that makes sure th
Something that always screws me up is this: I’m navigating round in Safari,
Quick Nav and single-letter on. Sometimes I forget to turn off quick nav or
single letter when I hit a form field, but I’m getting used to being aware.
However when I jump away from Safari to email or some other app, and
