Hi Donna:
You mention not caring about camera and screen which I certainly agree
with. I suspect most of us on this list would agree.
I am likely not upgrading from my iPhone SE at this time, though were I
to upgrade I'd be giving a serious look to the foldables available on
the Android platform
I would have to say I love them both. I love my Mac, to be sure. But my phone
serves a different need, occupies a different space. I use my phone for
fun—playing games—for media, for communication—messaging and WhatsApp---for
getting general information like weather, and for controlling smart
Hi Janina,
I completely agree about the size thing. If the SE were more powerful and more
upgradable, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I still miss the Home button. And yes,
before anyone jumps down my throat, I’ve completely adjusted to the swipe up
gesture. But I still prefer the home button.
I mean, my true loves are Macs and macOS, too (are we not all on this list?),
but Apple seems determined to work on iPhones and iOS to the exclusion of Macs.
I only buy a phone when I’m sure it will meaningfully improve my life;
hopefully Apple Intelligence will soon become more affordable, just
Nah, I like shiny new toys too much to do that. :)
Cheers,
Donna

The iPhone 15 is only my 3rd phone in what, 15 years. I was not
interested in beta driving the 16 when I went shopping earlier this
month. Went from iOS 16 to 17 to 18 in the space of 2-3 days. The best
perk is the now native Passwords app.

Yeah, like I said, if I had the 15, I’d probably sit tight.

Oh, I completely agree. If I had a 15, I’d definitely hold out another year.
I’m upgrading from a 14 Pro.

Donna

Wow! You’re even more of a hold-out than my husband. :) He’s upgrading this
year from a 12 Pro Max, and I’ve been giving him no end of grief about living
in the dark ages. 😊
I couldn’t wait that long. And I’m amazed your phone still works. My
husband’s barely does.
Cheers,
Donna

after using my 8 plus for 11 years, and yes, still on the original
battery, I chose the iPhone 15 plus. My life does not revolve around my
iPhone. So far the 15 plus works fine. Battery life is wonderful.
