Hi.
I'm pleased to tell you all that I managed to get the track commander pad
working at last. Voice over semi colon, flick and it turned the track pad on.
Unlock it, then have a play with it, voice over semi colon, to lock the thing
and flick and it went off! Thanks so much for all your hel

Hello Kawal,
If using the Trackpad Commander doesn't suit you, just use one of the other
methods of piloting VoiceOver. Apple has given us the standard VoiceOver
commands that use the Control and Option keys, and 3 possible Commanders. Not

that reminds me of a story my Apple trainer told me yesterday. The geks were
working on someone'sM computer, and the mouse wasn't available. So one of them
was going to go get a usb mouse. MY trainer, who got certified in VOiceover
was able to accomplish the task using VO keyboard commands.

Control f2 did not take me to the dock when I just tried it. It took me to the

vo command is what is working. I am going to check out that list of commands

Thanks Esther,
Here, I'm interested in all manner of approaches because I have to teach the
system, and different things work better for different people. All in all
though, I have to streamline things as much as possible to suit my audience.
My most recent mac client for example is 72. Now,
actually vo shift d can get to your finder desktop with all of your drives and
files and aliases you have set but yes I do use both keystrokes.

Hi,
I completely agree with Anne here about the value of using standard
Mac shortcuts. Just a few comments on suggesting shortcuts: there are
still a number of users on list who use earlier versions of VoiceOver

a little something to note.

Hi,
If you're looking for a list of basic Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts, you can find

Thank you as well for the other feedback that came in in this string. Good for

Hi Eric,
Your point about not doubling up on existing Mac keyboard shortcuts makes a lot
of sense. So, the obvious question, is there a list of such shortcuts in one
place? I found one once, but it has a lot of truly esoteric stuff in it that

Hi,
Actually, in some windows like the Voiceover Utility dialog, you can actually
just hit VO-FN-left/right arrow. If you want to use the Shift key in all
windows to make sure you get to the top, though, just use your right hand to
hold the shift key like I'm doing.
