If you have trouble with the iTunes interface, you can export the recently
added items to a text file.

Actually, Audio books from iTunes are the same addition as the ones you get
from audible with the exception that they have an m4b extension rather than

Cheryl,
Here is what I see. On Windows. the iTunes library in the user
folder contains a Books subfolder. Once Tim gave me the correct steps to
move my media to the Mac, all of it went where things should go except
the books.
After I managed to sync my iDevices to the Mac, I figured the

then you navigate to what you want to add to your library.

The important caveat is that when you put stuff into the Automatically Add to
iTunes folder, you must do so atomically, i.e. move, not copy. You can do so
using the Command-C to copy, then Command-Option-V to move strategy. I must
admit that I find myself using Terminal more and more for simpl

There are actually two methods for Drag & Drop for VO users.

Wouldn't it be possible to drag and drop with voiceover?

There wouldn't be any advantage that I can think of to drag and drop. You have
a mechanism within iTunes for importing music that is in other places. Besides,
you can physically move other folders into iTunes but iTunes won't necessarily
incorporate those folders into its use just because you ph

Thank you both. It all started when I copied the iTunes folder from
Windows. It was fine but then I started adding those movies.
I scrapped the iTunes folder and restarted it. This time, taking the
tip from Tim, I copied all my media in one move to the Automatically Add

Music in your home directory is a general location for music, of which iTunes
is a subdirectory, and iTunes Media a subdirectory of that. In the media
directory, one of the subdirectories is called Music, and holds your music as
