Once you find an app in the apps folder, you can add it to the dock by pressing
command-shift-T.
For Google, once you land in the area that says URL, etc., you can stop
interacting and then try reading the page again. I suspect, but I am not sure,
that these URL results are in a frame, and you
Actually, it's started to behave since I started navigating with the
web rotor menu instead of just going to the results via quick nav
keys. Weird but, as long as it works, I'm not complaining!

Yup. AppStore apps should land in the Applications folder with no
further work on your part. I tend to have my browsers set to download to
the desktop so non-AppStore apps tend to land there first and then I
move them after uncompressing/mounting.

Wen you get the weird page, have you tried uninteracting with the html area and
then interacting with it again. I sometimes get this and this works. It's
something about Safari not refreshing properly. It's a bit annoying but quite
doable.

Thanks for all the help, I assume all apps downloaded from the app
store automatically go into the applications folder? Also, I'll try
using the web rotor menu but while using quick nav and navigating
through headings that way, pressing VO + space on the result's link

I've never noticed this. I just move by heading, pressing enter or vo-space or
space on the item I want. You could also bring up the web rotor with vo-u,
arrow left or right to headings, then up and down arrow. Since each result is a
heading, you will basically have a list of results here. Press

Generally you should store your apps in the Applications folder at the
top level of your hard drive, not on your desktop. Most apps probably
won't care but some will and updaters and such tend to assume the
Applications folder as well. Most people tend to use the desktop like a

Hello,
There are no dumb questions if you don't ask them. You won't know until you do
ask. To add an app to the Dock, press cmd+shift+T when you are focused on the
name of the app.
As for Google and Safari, make sure you are clicking on the link and not the
"result button." I'm not sure wha

Simply hold down the Option key while on the item you wish to move, then use

When the app is open, go to the doc, find the app CTRL+click if you have a
mouse (this is what I do), or, VO+SHFT+M, and go to options, then hit enter on
"keep in doc."
Also, you can go to the app in your apps folder, and when the app is
highlighted, do a SHFT+CMD+T. That will add it to the doc
Can someone remind me of how to move items in the dock?

Hello Kevin,
To add an app to the dock, go to the applications folder by pressing
Cmd-Shift-A, find your app and press Cmd-Shift-T to add it to the dock. These
are standard Mac OS X commands, not VO.

How do you add apps to the Doc? I added Text Edit to the Doc by
dragging it using the vision I have. There must be a VO method for
dragging stuff around and adding stuff to the Dock but I can't find
it. Any ideas?
