Wonder if anyone can help me. I'm looking to install Ofice365 or MS Word onto
my Mac. I already use MS Word on my IPhone and IPad, and it's getting better
and better, so now I'd like to try and get it on to my Mac too. I also already
have an Office365 account because of my IPad and IPh

I found out that this is a known bug that plagues some folks back in to Lion.
So here’s the fix, and it did work for me at least.
You create a message rule. If all conditions are met, all attachments
containing “.” m
You should always be able to save with save attachments in the file menu even
if you can't open it. Be sure to go down below "save" to "save attachments". As
for opening rather than saving, if you interact with the text and move very
slowly, you can often, but not always, get on the attachment.
Yes, I did that first because actualy that's always been the most
reliable way for me. Shows it as being greyed out actually. The
attachment is normal on all other devices, not weird imbedded object
or anything. But the mac only sees it in the headers.

I can help with the first, not the second. I save attachments from the file
menu now. As for isolating individual attachments, thus far, I have not found
how to do this iin Mavricks either.

In an effort to keep this on topic smiles.
You really want new copies,not used ones, as outspoken used serial numbers,
and you may run into serious issues trying to install a used copy over and
over again.
I just did some creative googeling and discovered rather a few trails to

Maybe I am off base here but Apple has a recycling program for computers. Have
you asked to see if you could get old Macs that way? You would be serving
people that would not have the money for new Macs right now unless they get

No worries. If you can bring the speech back with the command F5 keystroke then
voiceover can be set to come on automatically later on. You probably did not do
anything. You cannot truly hurt the machine unless of course you set fire to it
:) ... which no one recommends.

If you push the power button it shoud give you a dialog box to shut down. If
not go to the Apple menu and choose shut down from there.

Try the alt key and f5. that toggles it on and off. Apple calls the alt key
