I know this is a bit off topic for this list, but many of us have iOS devices
on here. Don't forget that today is the last day to get BrailleTouch for $15;
tomorrow it goes up to $20. If you are on the fence about upgrading, consider
taking the plunge today, since that same plunge tomorrow

Hi, I have what I think are large hands and I can type with BrailleTouch

I find that if you hold the phone against your chest with the screen facing
away from you and the home button to the right, you will get the results you
wish. Remember, with the left hand, dots one to and three go down. That is,

Hi Chris and Alex,
I was having endless amounts of trouble with the Braille Touch app, until you,
Chris, described how you were holding it. Your hands don't go side-by-side, as
they would on a Perkins-style keyboard. They face each other. Which is better
than typing in rows, as in TypeinBraille
Sorry you are having a hard time with it, but I find it quite accurate and easy

instead, I do this:
press the back of the phone to your body, pinching the sides between your
thumbs and pinkies. Then gently pull back with yo
OK, um... this is just my thought, ok, take it or leave it. First of all,
there is plenty of screen real estate on even an IPhone 4 to not have to put
each section of the braille dots virtically. They say hold the phone with
you palms facing each other. I did this. I had a good grip of my ph

True, but at some level there is a desire to allow anyone to use the
same interface. So whether I tap around the screen or do split taps and

Hi,
Actually universal design does not mean that everybody is forced to use
the same UI, rather the other way around, that an app or the product
you are designing must meet users way of using the device, and that real
