I find a delay even with characters if I type an invalid character. That is, 
the click plays to tell me I've tried to enter something the app won't allow, 
then the next character I type takes a second to be echoed. I don't like word 
echo, but I turned it on briefly and found it to be as delayed as you do. Go to 
brailletouchapp.com, click support, then click "report a bug". The more the 
developers hear about this, the more they can try to solve it.
