Hello, Just ran the update. Now, when trying to unlock the phone, neither Face ID nor passcode prompts me for a response. Touching the screen and swiping up does not unlock the device. Voiceover is on, and I can bring up the control center. Did this change in the update? From E.T.

This is correct. Unlocking the phone with Face ID still requires that you swipe up from the bottom to get from the lock screen to the home screen. It doesn't do it automatically like it did on a touch ID phone when you use the touch ID sensor. - Brad - On Oct 28, 2024, at 13:57, 'Donna Goodin'

There is no need to turn the lights on to use Face ID. In fact, there's no need for light at all because face ID does not use visible light. Face ID uses infrared light, which is emitted from the face ID sensor itself. Face ID works in complete/total darkness. - Brad - On Oct 28, 2024, at 13:3

Having had my iPhone 15 plus a short time, it did take me a while. First I don't need to put my face that close. Second, if it is dark, I turn lights on. Third, the simple act of unlocking the phone is enough. Perhaps redoing Face ID may help, just hold the phone a foot or so away. F
