Brad, if one does not receive the code, there is an option to have a code

No, it will be a pop-up that pops up on your Mac when your Mac is awake. And if
your Mac is not awake once it becomes awake it will pop right up.

Well if you were going to sign in from your phone, and you didn't have another

It generally isn’t a problem, in that the iPhone and iPad will stay signed into
iCloud for a very long time – perhaps indefinitely.

The 2 Factor notifications are not like regular notifications.
They will appear on your screen, and automatically go away when dismissed.

I just didn't know anything about favorites. never used them or looked at them.

Some Favorites may be in the Favorites area by default. Others must be added.
This is nothing new.

Hi all. Well, still no go. I also thought that it might be some kind of
authentication prompt. However, trying out FN+VO+1,1 on this MBP 2019
did not work either. It showed me the available windows to switch into
and non e were a password prompt. I contacted Apple accessibility and

The codes do not show up as a text message.
The codes arrive as a system notification alert on either device.

The behavior I described has been true for all versions of Apple mail, going
back for as long as I have been using a Mac. This is not something that's new
in either Big Sur or Monterey.

Oh, I see what you’re talking about. If I don’t use VO keys, the only thing
the arrow keys do is expand and collapse the mailbox. Again, this is in Big
Sur.

It’s also a major security improvement compared with passwords alone. I would
recommend setting up two-factor authentication for every account that supports
it.
Note the new feature in the password settings of Mac OS Monterey that allows
the Mac to generate the codes used for two-factor authenti
After interacting, you need to use VoiceOver navigation (i.e. VO + Right/Left

If you interact, and then use non-VoiceOver navigation (i.e. up/Down Arrow

When interacting, and then using VoiceOver navigation, you will discover
Hmm. Interacting, things look pretty much the same. But I have the mailboxes
expanded, so maybe that’s the difference.

1. If you do not interact with the Mailbox list, I guaranty you will not find

will not be informed of this information.
I suggest you try interacting with the Mailbox list, and explore the list. I
am sure you will f
Hi Alia,
Thanks. I’d disabled it in the View Menu in All Inboxes, but didn’t realize I
needed to do that for each mailbox.

Hi all,
So I have a couple of questions related to this thread.
1. I’m still running Big Sur. I do not have to interact with the mailbox
list, and first letter navigation works great for me. If I upgrade to
Monterrey will those things change?
2. In Big Sur—and Monterrey for that matter—is
Yes, I often do not interact with the mailbox table. That might be why I’m not
seeing it. I like to use first letter navigation when I can. I have to Mail
accounts and I can generally jump between them using that method when I am in
the mailbox list. It beats using the up-and-down arrows which I
I don't use iCloud mail, however, iCloud mail should be treated just like any
other mail account. If you have it active, it will be in the list with any
other mail account you have acted vated. just interact with the mailbox list,
and use voiceover navigation. If it's there, you should find it.
Hi Brad,
I have a question which I believe Lauri may have mentioned. How does one locate
the iCloud mailbox. I probably have the wrong terminology, it’s probably not a
mailbox. I have seen it when I tried to move messages iCloud pops up. But I
don’t find it in the list of mailboxes and folders.
2 Factor Authentication is now required by apple.
When necessary, you will receive a verification code on one of your authorized
devices signed into your Apple ID. You will need to enter this code in to the
device that is requesting the verification code, before you will be allowed to
proceed w
The layout of the Mailbox list did change a little beginning in macOS Big Sur.
There was no change between Big Sur and Monterey.
The primary difference is that Favorite folders are now listed at the top of
the Mailbox list.
The Favorites area may contains combined folders, such as Inbox and Sent
