Generally I wait until at least the .2 update but this time I did
not even wait for the .1 update and I have no regrets at all.
I put in an SSD this week and its even better. But there are some
minor annoyances which is standard in my opinion. I would imagine the

We just upgraded to a Sonos system. I have not yet had any problems with VO
clipping and losing words. The Sonos PlayBar (sound bar) uses the digital
optical out from the TV. We are very happy with our Sonos system.

I’ve never had issues using the optical side. I have terminated an Apple TV

I’ve never been able to push more than 18 megabits through any of the WRT
routers I’ve tried but honestly I jumped off their band wagon once Cisco bought
them. This is a huge issue in Cisco gear and has been for their entire life.

Hi Scott,
I will have to check to see if our TV has an optical out. I know when I had the

remember trying something with the optical out to no particular avail. And that

When I first started using a Mac in 2013, I used bootcamp and created a VM from
it. Shortly afterward, I moved away from this configuration due to a space
consideration-I have a 256 GB SSD. However, if I had it to do over again, I
would have stayed with both as it allows more flexibility. I did

Hi everyone, in a recent blog post, I lamented the lack of a DAISY player for

German who tells me that there is in fact a DAISY player available. The free

Apple TV, no, but it works great in the web player on the mac with Safari,
and, if you use Chrome, there is even a full fledged extension which works
really well.
Take care, and try to not eat too much turkey! LOL!

Hi Scott,
I have used four or five models of WRT family for about 10 years,
recommended them nearly wholesale to customers, and never experienced any
issue where trafic on forwarded ports would be comparatively slower than
trafic taking place on a direct connection with no router at all. Th
Scott,
I'd be interested in your results as well. I've connected Airport Expresses
via ethernet to other networks and the Airplay feature remains as easy as ever.
I don't have any non-Apple Home routers though to test with to see if WDS or
whatever the newest connection method is, will work.
One thing If can say is that I am enjoying the higher bit rate of google play
than apple. Apple I believe still streams at 256 KB, and google at 300. for me,
the difference is noticeable.
