Hey list,
On my Air, Contacts works fine. On my Mini, running the same version (10.11.2),
it's always busy, and I can't use the app at all. I thought someone mentioned a
fix for this, but I don't remember what it was. I also can't figure out why the
problem isn't on both machines. Both have SSDs

Absolutely! there is! You can get a USB external CD drive for as low as $30
roughly.
You can get the Apple Superdrive, but those things are quite expensive.
Granted, they are super super good quality, but why do that, when these
drives are mostly just plug and play, and you can get a generic

My point exactly. Alex has more than his share of pronunciation
eccentricities. However, after so many years of Eloquence use, I'm going to
give him a good try. Let's see how adaptive I can be in making the proper
auditory closures so that eventually, he won't seem so quirky.

On Saturday,
Sharon,
Most computers nowadays skip the CD drives. Yes, you can get an USB CD
drive. I have one and it works well. Give Apple a call and see if you
can buy one from them.
Kindly,

Hi,
I don't see a slot on my 4GB mac book Ere to work with a CD. If that's the
case, is there such a thing as a portable CD player that can be used via USB
to interact with this?
Thanks,
Sharon H.

Hi,
As an update, I called apple this morning, I tried while on the phone to get
it going and could not get it going, but the rep had me start from the internet
recovery which installed mountain lion and I then installed el captain over top
and now it working like a champ. Very strange though
I signed out then back in, which made no difference. I did this with
Yosemite last year with each new update until I finally did the clean
install. And I did this with the first update to El Cap. But not so with
the current update. Knowing its 6.2gigs, I give it plenty of time.

To me, regards sounds more like “regardsh,” when used in a sentence. I’m just

Hi Eileen,
I agree with David’s explanation and I’ve also seen these files from time to
time after using Microsoft Word for Windows. They are typically not left behind
but every so often you’ll see one or more of them if Word or Windows was
terminated improperly or experienced a problem. I woul
Perhaps it’s the automatic correction. Have you tried turning that off in

Hello,
I have ad a problem whenever I write on the Mac where the work “and” gets
changed to “ad.”
I thought my N key was broken, but changing the keyboard, and years of use
haven’t fixed the problem.
I waste a bit of time in proofreading to change almost every ad back to and.

The version showing on the feature page for me is definitely 10.11.2. You
should be able to download it just as any other app, although you will be
downloading the entire thing again from the start if you have an earlier

Hi,
Well I think I got the installer to work, but now it keeps telling me that it
is temporary lily unavalable. I am able to sign in with no problem, I just can

I've always managed to do a complete erase before, and just reinstall and
there were no problems at all but everything seemed to change with el

I have downgraded to Yosemite as my iMac is old and had a ton of issues with
earlier versions of El Capitan so not sure if this will work for you but am
hearing that resetting your VoiceOver preferences to factory and then resetting
them to the way you like them fixes a lot of issues in El Capit

I did the same thing and had to send it back to apple to get it up and
running again.
Apparently, they use another mac to get it kick started.
I sent mine off and had it back in 4 days.
Cheers,
