I signed out then back in, which made no difference. I did this with
Yosemite last year with each new update until I finally did the clean
install. And I did this with the first update to El Cap. But not so with
the current update. Knowing its 6.2gigs, I give it plenty of time.
I do not remember how I knew there was progress but it did not seem
to take forever to download the OS.
