Hi Mike,
Have you created a new session in Audio Hijack and chosen Skype as the source?
I use Audio Hijack all the time and it works fine for Skype. I've used it to
redirect output from Skype to another program, to record Youtube videos into
mp3, to make iTunes louder when tracks aren't very lo
Hi Sarai,
I haven't seen this issue myself, but I've read reports where this type of
freezing behavior can occur associated with bad RAM or a memory slot going bad,
or simply one of your memory chips not being firmly enough seated in the slot,
which is more likely to happen if your Mac is a lap
Hi,
There is also the VO-t command that will tell you the Text Attributes of a
given text item including headings. Not sure how eHarmony lays out their
web-page but if these items are textual, the VO-t command will be able to let
you know if something is bold, italic, plain or whatever.

Rachel,
Glad some one took the time to answer a lot of Scott's questions. I can add
that I use my PAC Mate's 40 character display with VoiceOver all the time. The
routing buttons don't seem to work as I believe they should, but I can live
with that. As for trying to sync the actual PAC Mate,
Lisette,
As previously mentioned, the solution seems to lay in restarting VO &/or
occasionally Safari as well. This would seem to indicate a problem with VO
loosing track of the big picture. It is annoying, as well as a few other bugs
in Apple's accessible approach. But, it is cool to walk i
Hi Scott,
I can answer some of your questions. The Mac comes with TextEdit which is like

All,
I have a question about recording Skype calls with audio hijack pro.
I have two profiles set up on my Mac.
Profile one has both Skype and audio hijack but Skype is not an option in the
component list.
My other profile has Skype as an option in audio hijack pro but it m

Hi all,
In short, I'm trying to look for old school friends and such from other friends
that I believe have kept in touch and thus friended these friends on Facebook.
In the old interface before timeline, this used to be possible where I would go

It's actually control option command B, only the EHarmony people have even
managed to thwart that somehow. So, the way I do it is command A on the answer
page and command C to copy.
Then go to text edit.
Press command shift R to make it rich text.
Press command v to paste.
Trim out the page head
The answers are in bold, if I remember right, but I'm not sure how to set VO to

keystroke, if anyone does know.

I decided to take the plunge and join EHarmony, but I have become
quite frustrated with their "guided communication" feature. I sent a
match several multiple choice questions, and she responded, but when I
try to read her answers, I just hear the choices. I can't tell which
ones she has selected.

Bbc radio 4 extra can be streamed on a mac computer. It has older shows

Just to make sure that everything is set up properly on your external, try the
following:
• Connect the external HD to your Mac.
• Open Disk Utility.
• Select your drive from the list on the left. Make sure that you select the

I'll have a look, thanks. I don't need a regulation board (I never
even knew there was such a thing), I just need something to keep track
of the computer's moves.

I have found that the travel chess set from I think it was maxiaids is the
best for size and portability. the board folds up and you can keep the pieces
inside the b oard. However, I do not believe tha this board meets the

Yes, I'm finding that as well. Now I just need to find a small chess
board with raised squares and a way of keeping the pieces in place
while I feel them. Nothing too big, but it has to be accessible...

That's an issue of VO, I suppose. Here it happens regularly. Sometimes it helps
just to restart VoiceOver and sometimes it's useful to restart Safari.

Hi all,
I now have a drive for backing up my mac running SnowLeopard. I've backed it up
successfully.
This drive is a 2TB drive. Can I also store files on the drive such as music?
Do I need to do something so that my backups are in a different place?
If so what do I need to do and how do I do it?
Hello Lisette,
I think that it has to do with the lay out of the web page. We have found that
if the headers do not show up in VO-U, then we try VO-I and you can find
details there.

Hello Harry,
As Simon said, track changes is a problem for VO users. We can see what changes
have been made but not where they are. When you interact with the page, VO says
"Page whatever, number of items". Anything over 3 items means there are
additional items such as text boxes on that page.
Simon,
Thanks very much. This is a real pity, since track changes is a pretty
important feature. Of course, I've noticed that most of the formatting
features in Pages don't really work that well, actually.
Thanks,
Harry
