Until you get your keyboard, why not try out dragon dictate for your iphone.
It's a little clunky to text, but there is an sms feature under the menu
button.
It works pretty fantastically, they should defenetly be charging for it.

It would help to know what the dialog boxes say. There is a permissions issue
with the current iTunes and your AppleID account if you do not use the computer
as an administrator. I saw some notes on how to fix this, but I have not done
