There is a small door on the bottom that you open with a screw driver. The memory slots are right inside. Each chip (looks more like a small data card than a chip) is held in by two clamps that you release with your fingers, and it will pop out. You take the new chips, push them in to the slots

If you have VMWare Fusion 3, then do the easy install of Windows 7. You can enter all the details (like your name, windows product key, etc) with VoiceOver before the install starts. Once the install starts, it is automatic, and, when it finishes, Windows 7 will be installed, and the VMware tool

Where do you live? $1,000 is way more than you should be paying. I'm in the US, and just bought 8GB of DDR3 SoDIMMs off of New Egg (an online computer parts site), for about $350. For anyone with a MacBook, they have two memory slots, and I don't think any of the MacBooks can take more than 8GB
