In a correct eps figure, there is a bounding box indicating the size

After too long in development we were finally able to release LyX
1.1.6. It won't be this long till next release (promises, promises...).
As with all of the 1.1.x versions of LyX, this release contains a lot
of new code: in particular, more than half of the changes described in
the ChangeLog (w

Hi,
First of all: Thanx for your great work!
I found a bug in preference dialog using german language environment
(LANG=de_DE). Trying:

Thanks! It works.
So I think I can switch to the new 1.1.6-release.

Compiling lyx and starting (from the src dir) works fine.
Having an older ~/.lyx/lyxrc.defaults produces in the shell:

Hi,
unfortunately 1.1.6 seems to be very unreliable
when editing converted 1.1.5 documents. It crashed
very often, especially when manipulating tables. My fix was to
create a new document in 1.1.6 and transfer the old
document via cut and paste. Now it seems stable.

While working on my syllabus yesterday, I was looking at various
document styles, and I found one I liked, except the section titles were
centered, and I wanted left-justified titles. So I just selected those
paragraphs-layout-paragraph and changed the justification to left.

I have found an error when LyX uses LaTeX Spanish format:
It replaces 'SPC n' with 'ñ' and 'SPC N' with 'Ñ'

blocks like LyX-Code and others. Please see the attachments.

I figured we'd see more of those redhat questions again, so here:
With gcc packages from RedHat's update page (gcc-2.96-69) and
xforms-0.88.1 (and corresponding devel package), I just got a clean
compile of lyx-1.1.6, no errors. Runs fine.
Users are cautioned to move ~/.lyx out of the way befo

Hi Lyxers,
first of all: This is a very helpful mailing-list. I learned a lot by

Today I compiled the new 1.1.6 release (RH6.2) and I only get the most

Alas, compilation of lyx-1.1.6 on sparc-solaris-2.6 (gcc-2.95.2,
xforms-0.88, xpm-4.11) failed to link with an unresolved symbol. I've
enclosed the final link command and error output in the hope that
someone can identify the problem and suggest a fix. Thanks,

Hi,
Lyx1.1.6 seems to be including the babel package in the resulting
LaTeX code. Is there a way to turn off this behavior? It doesn't
appear that I can select "none" for a language in the document
settings. :)
I have a thesis class which is not compatible with the babel package.
