obtain a latex error I did not encounter before, and which seems
specific of the compilation of prosper documents.

I a desperately trying to modify the text size in a presentation made with
prosper. The \small tex command does not seem to change anything, and the
text size really decreases with the \tiny command. However, I would like to

The correct way to use the prosper class is to select it in the document
dialog and then press the "Use class defaults" button.

1. View PDF (Got that sussed but no colour or effects)
2. pdfscreen (looks beautiful but not quite there yet with LyX). Seems
to work (faultily at this stage) with View PDFLaTeX

I haven't tried Prosper yet. But I was totally disillusioned
The problem with view->postscript clipping the image has been traced to
dvips using the "-t a4" option. This appears the break the postscript.
Here is a diff between the correct postscript file and the one made by
lyx with export->postscript.

While I am trying to work out why "title" doesn't work I noticed that
there are a number of different prosper layout files on your site. Some
are 6k in size and some are 2k or 3k in size. What's the difference
between them? For example there is prosper.layout (6k)
I have copied all the .sty and the .cls file into
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/prosper
and run
mktexlsr.
However when I run lyx, choose slides(prosper) and make a "title" with a
single word in it (in this case "hello") I still get

e.g. azure1,ps,accumulate,slideColor,nocolorBG
The 1st one is the style file. You may change it.
I've checked these options were in the layout file, but I
don't know why lyx 1.2.1 does not load them as lyx1.1.6.
I have finally managed to get prosper and Lyx working together. Thanks
for the help.
