The Sun machine has a compose key to create several accented
characters. This works fine in all programs except for LyX. I
switched the Dead-key option, but that had no effect. Is there a

This is probably very easy when you know how. I'm working on a
SunOS/Solaris machine and I installed LyX in my personal space. Now I
want to add some Latex packages which need to go in my home directory as
well. However, I can't seem to find how to get Latex to search for
additional packages in an
