It is possible to use fncychap with KOMA-book, even if not recommended. The
warning is caused by fncychap that uses the depreciated command /rm. To
avoid the warning insert these lines after the loading of fncychap in the
Preamble:
\ChTitleVar{\bfseries\Large\rmfamily}\ChNameVar{\bfseries\Large\sf

I managed to get a postscript file once from Kubuntu, but then I tried
again LyX refused. I have converted images to .eps and sometimes back to
jpg when the log states that it stopped at those images and still no luck
converting to postscript.
