Hi:
I just searched back to find that I can use ERT like this:
\rule[-1.5ex]{0pt}{4ex}
in table cells to get some vertical space, above and below my stuff. In
particular, when I place equations with fractional expressions (I like
those) into table cells, they are too close to the top and bott

I've attached a LyX file with your equations typeset in various ways,

Hi:
I'm going to give this one last shot, before I give up on the math
editor for this particular problem, and write in plain LaTeX.
I want to show an four line equation, in which each equation has
fractional expressions. Also, I want a left brace delimiter around the
whole thing.

Basically, the above code works as ERT, but not if it is pasted into a

I want to make equations in an array appear in the same size font as the
rest of my equations, not reduced. I have fractional expressions in an
array, and they are in a smaller font when in the array.
I tried to figure out how to enter \displaysize as ER

Matrices seem to allow highlighting the whole solid

The problem with a matrix is that I have fractional expressions in my

smaller font.

Hi:
I have Lyx 1.3.1 with Qt interface on Suse 8.1
I typed a multiline equation, then wanted to put a left brace delimiter
around it. I tried to select the whole thing, but when I inserted the
delimiter it replaced my equation instead of wrapping it on the left
side as I expected.
So I did s

Hi:
I want to write some web pages with equations and graphics. Some
graphics will be images created by programs with aren't set up well to
export in a format suitable for Lyx.
But the main question is, if I create a document in Lyx, how might I
convert it to HTML, and in your experience, doe

1. Does anyone here use OpenOffice to produce figures to import into

Thanks for all the responses to the above question. The volume
Hi folks:
I abandoned effort recently on a document that I was preparing in

Furthermore, I failed at convincing anybody in the OpenOffice/StarOffice
world that they are not up to the standards that I think are needed for

Hi:
I know this is a development question, but I'm a user, so I don't want
to subscribe there and bug them too much.
I just wonder if there is any known considerations going on about using
Qt in Lyx. I wonder if this might be a good long-term move?
It would be nice to have consistent user int

Greetings:
I am considering using Lyx to prepare some documents. I have tried to
do it with OpenOffice/StarOffice, but the quality of the formulas is
inadequate, and the program is too buggy and quirky when the document is
increasingly complicated. Lyx is my last hope to avoid using Word,
