I just installed the new lyx1.1.5 RPM on a redhat 6.0 system.
I edited a short document (A couple Section/Subsection headings...about
half a page) and hit "View Postscript". The document took nearly 5
minutes to "render"!!

You need to do:

Hi,
I just got Lyx-1.1.5 tar.gz. , unpacked it in
usr/tmp, and:
1. run ./configure --with-extra-lib (full pathname
of xforms)
Compiling stops with this:
configure: warning: usr/X11R6/include/X11/xforms:

Hello and greetings
I am wondering if anyone is using LyX with RH 6.2
and their standard installation of sgml-tools? Can
anyone help me get started using LyX as an SGML front-
end?
Thanks so much in advance,
Steven

Hi,
I just installed Lyx 1.1.5, and found the following bug:
I can't mark floats to cut and paste them to put them someplace else in
the document. In Version 1.0.4 I just closed the Float and then dragged
the mouse over the fig, which was marked in blue (like ordinary
text). Then I could cut it
I certainly agree that eps is the format of choice for Latex when things
are going to be printed.
I noted though that there are many people out there that have reverted
to create pdf documents, somewhat as a last resort against having to do
M$soft.
Anyway for pdflatex eps is not an option. Also f

Well, maybe I missed something, but there's one big thing:
My copy of LyX (1.1.5pre3) is still not able to draw a border around an
included image (it does in the LyX-window, but neither in latex,ps, nor
pdf).
I always had to do it by hand using some LaTeX-commands I've forgotten
because I put th

This can only be changed in the sources.

The question is: how i can change the amount of text, scrolled using mouse

I have lyx-1.1.15, emacs bindings.
TIA, Nick.
I dont' know if newer versions support it (I use 1.0.3), but what I
really missed was the epsfig possibility to cut a box in an eps page
with bblx, , and clip=0. I had to write the latex command (which
works fine).

I managed to write a nice Lyx layout for the MNRAS articles and
everything works fine (I have some problems, but maybe I'll ask later).
When I compile an article, I receive an error:
Error in MakeLatexFile: You should not mix title layouts with normal

Indeed, there seem to be some menu changes as compared to 1.

Could not reproduce it, but while testing the new release

I was unable to reproduce yet);

Hi LyXers,
I just downloaded the new LyX-release 1.1.5; had no problems with
installation, everything seems to work fine.
Even a first look at the new features encourages me to thank your for your
work!
