Hi,
I just got Lyx-1.1.5 tar.gz. , unpacked it in
usr/tmp, and:
1. run ./configure --with-extra-lib (full pathname
of xforms)
Compiling stops with this:
configure: warning: usr/X11R6/include/X11/xforms:
invalid host type
maschine "usrX11R6/include/X11/xforms' not
recognized
(is repeated twice, other is okay)
Stops with:
configure:error: libtool configure failed
1)Okay I'm running a RH 6.2 based distri, xforms
exist in the mentioned directory (version 0.88),
2)libtool (version 1.1.3) is also installed
correctly.
Lyx-1.1.5pre3 was working fine before, nothing
fundamental has changed since that. But connected
with this problem:
This time I used lyx.tar.gz, reccently I had to
install Lyx-1.1.4 with rpm -nodeps. After that
tour de force it work fine !
Obviously there is always the necessity to choose
such ways to get Lyx installed, till now I
couldn't figure out the pointer, any idea ?
