Hello
I would like to thank all the help I got! I managed to install the
IEEEtran document class. In Lyx Layout->Document->class there now is
article (IEEEtran). This really makes life a lot easier to prepare papers
using Lyx. Here is what I did and I hope that this could help someone
else:

If you have no other text after the table you just press enter i
This is a very simple problem. I've created a table, and am in the
lower right cell. I just want to move on out of the table to start
the next paragraph. How is this done? Is this in the docs?
Thanks,
Ambrose

Now it works fine.

Hi,
I am not sure I have understood what you mean exactly, but I got th
same kind of problem yesterday.
(I wanted to insert a standard paragraph in an enumerated list)
Here is the solution I found :
1. fisrt part of my enumerated list
2. fisrt part of my enumerated list
Hello again,
If I use the \setcounter{}{} function, the text between
3 Value 3
and
4 value 4
must have the same ident as the enumerate list.
I want this text not to be aligned with the enumerated list.
(Yes I know, I am exigent)
For waiting, I will use your solution.
Thank you,
Yc

e.g. \setcounter {enumi}{3}
works only in a complete list of enumerated lines. you can
Hello
I fixed the previous problem I had regarding the IEEEtran class. The file
is compiling. There are now only a part of a word on one page. The
result is a lot of pages. I attached a example file where I usec
Export->LaTeX (users.tex). I also included the users.ps file that can be
viewed

I've compiled LyX 1.1.4 for Win98 now ;-) You can fetch it under

Hmm, it seems you have added something strange in
Layout->LaTeX_Preamble.

Hello
Thanks for the help regarding the IEEEtran class.
Everything works fine. However when I 'View Postscript' I get the

Misses I something?

Hello again.
There's a little problem. I had tried this solution but it doesn't
work. I've got two or more paragraph between the last item in the
enumerated list and the first modified one.
The envrionment depth of these paragraphs doesn't allow me to
change the number of the first item in the m

Hello
I would like to know how to change the value of
an enumerated list. Here's an example:
1 value1
2 value2
3 value3
some text here
3 value4
I had tried to look in lyx-users archive but the
search part of the list is down, and I can't find
a solution on a TeX FAQ.
Bye, YC
Hello,
I would to insert a table with 1 column and 1 row (to frame a
mathematical result ; anyway, is there another solution for framing a
mathematical result ?) in the definition environment, for example.
On the screen, there is no problem. But, in the DVI file, the table is
on the same line

Hello
I am inexpierenced with installing stuff on linux. I would like to
install the IEEEtran.cls document class and use it in Lyx. However, I do
not know where to get the "package" they talk of in chapter 6 of
custumisation. What is the name of the package I must get?
