My question boils down to: does it make sense to ship layouts for RevTeX,
RevTeX 4 and RevTeX 4.1 in parallel with LyX?
Jürgen
When I said "edit a LyX file" I meant with an external plain text
editor. It confuses the LyX GUI a bit but compiles fine with the
expected result.

Hi LyX developers,
Here is a patch against latest trunk for a REVTeX 4.1 layout and

i think you must have misunderstood something. the only case you need
the password is when you upload or change something. downloads are not
protected.

Hi,
I'm using article (REVTeX 4) class layout with up-to-date LyX-CVS.
RevTeX4 allows "Author Email" and "Author URL" insets.
When a tilde (~) appears in one of these insets, it is typeset
in the DVI and PostScript output as "\textasciitilde{}".

I am told that revTEX is an ideal document class for the paper I wish to
write. Although itis an option in my document choices I get the error
message "revtex.sty not found". It's there, I put it there (where the
other .sty files live), so why can't it find it ?

The good news is that it's latex2e, so it should be much easier to support.
We won't need fancy tricks for latex209 compatibility etc. The only issue I
see arising is supporting revtex 3 and 4 simultaneously. Well, we can worry
about that as it arises.

Perhaps someone should begin finishing up a revtex4.layout?

I just wanted to report a problem I have using the revtex package with
Lyx's revtex output. I've moved the revtex.cls file to the appropiate

News about revtex 4, in case anyone cares. (It will be latex2e compatible,
which will make the lyx revtex layout better.)
Apparently, this means "soon". Sigh.
