Nautilus seems to be significantly faster in gnome2.. It's almost even usable on my machine :) (PII 300, 256MB RAM) and if you'll check out gnome's bugzilla statistics, nautilus is the most active software in the gnome project. This is really nice, considering the fact that its company got closed
